A few weeks ago, I went up to one of my favorite little towns, Good Ol Gold River.  It was a gorgeous July summer day, as typical of summers up there!  We went around to a few of the local swimming hot spots to try to find one with no one around!  Well that of course was a little hard, then I thought of a place I used to swim at as a teenager- The Deep Hole! It is the coolest spot ever, not only to swim at but I knew it would be wicked for photos!  Ella was a good sport!  I have to say she didn’t like it when Mama dipped her wee foot in the water- that’s the thing about Gold River the water is like a shock to the system!

Here are a few of my favorite photos from the day!

On July 23, 2011 I went to Lantzville, just on the outside of Nanaimo, to photograph Erika & Bob’s Wedding in her mother Karen’s beautiful backyard!  It was decorated so lovely I just melted when I saw all the flower petals all over the garden, it truly was a magical setting!  We headed down to the beach in Lantzville to take some photographs !  It was my pleasure to photograph their wedding day !  Here are a few of my favorites !

I met Katie & Nate last summer at a wedding I photographed in Oyster River, Tiffany & Jamie.  Katie & Nate were in their wedding part, which was on of the most outgoing fun wild and maybe even a little bit crazed group I have met!  So when Katie got in touch with me this fall about photographing her wedding I was honored and excited to capture Katie’s special day! Their wedding day was a mini reunion for me as her wedding party were the same fun group with Kaite & Nate switching into the spotlight this time!  They are such a great group of close friends and the wedding which took place out at Kitty Colemans Gardens was a beautiful ceremony!  The reception took place in her parents backyard garden and watching these guys get their dance on and have a blast was a joy to watch!

Monique & Micheal’s Wedding was the first time I have had the chance to do pre wedding photos!!  It was so nice we had all afternoon, their wedding wasn’t until 7pm and they wanted to spend the day with plenty of time to create magic- and magic I captured!  When I photographed their engagement session last fall, I knew they were going to be an awesome wedding couple.  They just pose together so beautifully, I just snapped away!!  I had a hard time trying to keep this blog semi short, if I had it my way I would have blogged every photo!  Here are a few of my favs from the day!

A few weeks ago we were getting ready for Monique & Micheal’s Wedding at Union Bay- Photos for that are up next!  Monique contacted me and said she wanted to do a family photo session before the wedding since this was the first time in a long time all her and her brothers have all been together at the same time!  That is the thing I love about weddings, it is such a great time getting to see old family & friends reunite for such a wonderful happy time!

I have known Monique & Micheal for a couple years, and getting to spend the day with her family before the wedding I got to interact with them and see them act together goofing and joking around, while Mama sat back quietly watching her grown children and their own families they have started play in the park!  I especially like the “Zellars catalog” theme where I had to ask what they were doing – as kids they used to do the cheezy “catalog” posing for jokes!  I laughed alot that afternoon!

As I started to decided which of the MANY MANY images to choice for a teaser- I absolutely could not choice one!  I kept going back to these ones and I just had to do Superman’s ones as a teaser!  I LOVE these soo much and I can’t wait to blog the rest of Monique & Micheal’s Union Bay Wedding on Saturday!

Meet Baby Brooke, isn’t she just a doll!!  I love the one of her raising her wee fist!!  Her daddy especially loved this pose!!  lol

On Saturday May 21st I had the pleasure of photographing Karen & Tim’s Wedding out at Kye Bay.  I met with Karen & Tim back in October when they were over for Thanksgiving visiting her parents, who moved over here a couple years ago.  They have a beautiful house that over looks the whole Kye Bay!  I was super excited when I arrived at the house and walked around the massive backyard that went on for mile!  Karen & Tim were absolutely gorgeous, I loved photographing them just watching them with such tenderness- They just meshed together and I just shot I barely did any posing which is my fav as I love to capture such pure emotion!!!

Here are some of my favs and I had a hard time narrowing it down!!!

It’s my new fav one you have made me!! :)
